Back to the routine

The big event was Ottawacker Jr.'s call up for the U11s. Again he did well, playing the first half in goal and the second as a right-sided midfielder. They won 5-1.

As he was leaving the field, complaining loudly about his hamstring and knee and back and foot, we saw that his goalkeeping coach was standing alone, kicking a ball into a net. We went over to say hi - and it turned out that the other two keepers had not turned up for the session (we'd already said we weren't available because of the call up).

To cut a long story short, the hamstring, knee, foot, back and whatever else issues were miraculously cured, and Ottawacker Jr. went and did another hour of goalkeeper training while I stood and watched. If only my back and hips and knees could be cured so readily!
