Camera Club Outing

Today Mike Crofts, a member of the Linton CC kindly gave a few of us a tour around the Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory.  It's not open to the public but he worked there for 35+ years and even after retirement volunteers a day a week, so got us special permission!

It's all very clever stuff - we're talking radio waves being able to identify and measure, stars, planets, galaxies even going back to the Big Bang!  It's astrophysics and I can't say I understood it all, but Mike was a patient explainer, and I felt very privileged to have been shown around such an amazing place.
