Cabbage on Radish

We currently have four Cabbage White Butterflies flitting about the yard and garden. This afternoon they seemed mostly interested in one of the radish plants we’ve let go to seed. Tiny purplish-pink flowers have been blooming all summer long. They must be sweet • MrsP and I took a ride to a favorite Health Food Store in Freeport today. Back in June we had ordered a 5 lb. box of frozen organic Maine blueberries and today was pickup day. While there we also picked up a loaf of homemade raisin-pecan bread, some favorite crackers, local salad greens and green beans, a jar of vegan salad dressing I like and some smoked Gouda vegan cheese. All of our goodies are now put away. It’s the sixth year we’ve purchased the bulk frozen blueberries. I use them all Fall and Winter in baked goods and oatmeal • Happy Weekend wishes to you!
