tracks of life

york

after the meeting in blackburn today, it was time for the weekend! my colleague and i decided to call york home this weekend before flying back to the us. this was my first time, and he hadn't been in years, so it was a nice treat for the both of us.

as has been the case all week, the weather was quite nice today. there was a small storm just before we left the hotel for the evening, but that was all.

we spent the remaining day light hours just walking the city, along the old wall, and just taking in the sights. it's always amazing for us yanks to see anything of this age, as most structures in our lives are less than 100 years old.

i loved the way the light was shining on york minster, and tried to catch it on the go. in hindsight, i should have stopped to spend a little more time to capture it properly.
