Sare Stanes....

....at least one crash resulted in Owen holding his stanes in pain. However, not even the dull ache could dampen his enthusiasm for his first visit to 7stanes at Glentress today. It was my first visit too and I was thoroughly impressed; bike shop/hire, good cafe, accommodation and 130km of graded trails. I'm not certain it beats a good day on the road bike, but it's still a cracking day out, and Owen loved hurtling down the surprisingly quick Blue Route.

Elsewhere Nancy was having her own 'me time' biking adventure on Innertube Postcode Cycle Challenge. She was rewarded with a new set of lights for her post code collecting efforts by a very generous man from The Bike Station.

In international news, I see Froomey is shaping up nicely for his assault on La Tour.
