Playing Catch Up
After last night’s storm, it was cooler outside early this morning. I enjoyed a nice chat with my sister (who is in WV) and my coffee on the front porch. Later, I pulled a few weeds and righted my flower pots that were knocked over by the storm. Hubby picked up groceries so I could make a few desserts for the trip. Then he bought the parts needed to more easily attach our shade tarp on the camper’s awning. I caught up on ironing and hubby trimmed the lawn with the push mower, quite a feat since the last trim was before we went to Europe. The sky was covered in clouds but the predicted rain never fell. We both worked on packing. I might bake a few crab cakes to go with dinner. Otherwise, it’s time to rest. Thanks for dropping by and leaving good wishes. Other than a new persistent cough for me, I think we are fine. Stay well. “I am thankful for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.... I am thankful for the piles of laundry and ironing because it means my loved ones are nearby.” - NANCIE J. CARMODY
