Argentiere glacier

What a fantastic walk we did today. We took the Plan Joran to Lognan then walked across to the view point of the glacier (see extra). It was amazing to be that close to a glacier and we spent over an hour just looking at it. The walk had been recommended by the owner of the campsite as there would be less people and it did not disappoint. I don’t think I’ve ever been as close to a glacier as we were today.

The campsite also offered us free train travel in the valley so we didn’t have to drive today. We stopped for an hour and a half in Chamonix on the way back and, although it was beautiful, it was very busy.
