Brown clouds?
I noticed as I was driving Ali home this evening that there was a large band of clouds across the Pentlands, - nothing unusual in that, but the clouds were brown. I wasn't able to stop and take a picture and so this was taken about 10 minutes later from not such a good viewpoint but it does show the effect. Anybody know what it was, desslert sand?
Josie had a two hour slot in nursery today and seemed to enjoy it, full of smiles when we picked her up. We took her home then Ali headed back into school and I put Josie down for her sleep, she had a good 2 hours so she must have been tired. I'm so glad she's taken things in her stride so far, it makes it much easier for Ali.
I was in town again this afternoon, it seemed remarkably quiet for the first week of the festival. I had thought I would treat myself to a posh afternoon tea. The first place needed at least a 24hour advance booking as "the chefs need time to prepare as so many clients have food allergies!" The second place didn't do afternoon tea but offered me brunch till 2.30! I ended up in a cafe with a pot of Darjeeling and a ham and cheese croissant. Not quite the same Ambience.
Ali and her friend came round this evening and had pizza and prosecco in the garden. Very nice too, the temperature was much more sensible at 21 rather than the 28 of this afternoon.
