sea campion

Photographing this delicate and fragile paper like sea campion shell, proved to be rather more involved than i first thought.
I spotted the flower shell  on my now routine scan of the garden for a composition..
Once i had rigged up my tripod and D810 with macro lens, i vowed to return around sunset when the light was less harsh.
on returning,  the howling tornado like conditions (gentle breeze) that blew this fragile skeletal flower, were going to require a little help.
Enter the photographers macro friend, the mobile light box and in this  case, wind shield
I focus staked 8 frames, each a 6 sec exposure
