White-tailed Bumble Bee

The weather has been a bit better today but there is still a real absence of sunshine ..... glad I didn't bring my shorts!

Found a couple of open gardens and garden centres/nurseries on our travels today. Not a butterfly to be seen but plenty of busy bees in pursuit of nectar and pollen. This rather furry wee bee was one of many enjoying the delights of the teasel seed heads.
