The Digital Tearoom
Ever since the turn of the 20th century, a standard feature of Glasgow's infrastructure and social life used to be its tearooms. And a standard fixture in every tearoom used to be its wee old women ('wummin' as the locals have it) with their blue rinses, pots of tea and plates of French fancies.
There are precious few of these establishments left nowadays but this hardy old soul has adapted to the times and surrounded by the trappings of the current century, she's still taking time for her tea and cake, here in the Mitchell Library.
More power to her elbow ('Gaun yersel hen!' as the locals have it...)
