That man Smith off of The Blipfoto

As hospital visitors go, Mr Smith is top flight. 

Not only does he come armed with chat, gossip and banter, he also brought an excellent book. 

Very much enjoyed Pete Paphides's Broken Greek. It's left me nostalgic for my childhood growing up in 1970s and '80s Birmingham. Which wasn't, you understand, my actual childhood. It's very evocative. 

He even charmed a cup of tea and a biscuit from the nurses.
