A day of surprises

First surprise: Jimmy has tested positive for Covid. This means no visitors to the ward for ten days (this is later revised down). 

Second surprise: I'm to be moved to a two-bed room, but with just me in it. The room has its own bathroom and entrance. It's hard not to think of this as an upgrade. 

Third surprise: my sister Gail has come up on the train to visit me.  While they're getting the room ready, we sit outside nattering with a cup of tea or two. It's lovely to see her. And in spite of leaving by the wrong exit, she made her train home in the nick of time. 

Mo and George came in the evening, and were suitably impressed by my palatial room.
