A view of Yesterday’s Summit

The Tour de Mayen on the right with its slightly smaller twin, the Tour d’Ai on the left. It was thick fog up to about 2,000m then this extraordinary sea of fog (seen better in extra) out of which the mountains looked like islands. This usually only occurs in autumn and winter so as soon as I saw it on a webcam I knew I had to get up there to show the girls where they went yesterday. Now they have gone home it feels very quiet here.
