Mountain High Sheep

…. with Mont Blanc peeping out of the clouds behind. This large lamb and his friends, trying to get in the shade in extra, were the only “wildlife” I saw today. The army were on maneuvers and exploding blank shells in the direction of the two cols (Martinets and Perris Blancs) I went over. All alpine life had taken cover. I was disappointed as this is my highest and longest walk this year, knees seem to be better, dare I say it? I celebrated on my own at the La Tourche hut (view from there in second extra) with soup and a delicious mixed fruit pie!
