A public servant who works in the NSW Dept of XXXXXX (who shall remain nameless so let's call him Bob) saw a Blakes 7 Annual from 1979 at a garage sale for 10 cents and couldn't resist buying it.
He then had to bring it in to work, wait for me to come in and order some aerial photographs, and then insist that I borrow it.
Given that our opinions of Blakes 7 differ (Bob didn't like Avon while I thought he was mighty fine*) I wasn't convinced that I needed to borrow it. But Bob was adamant that I duly admire his prize.
If nothing else, it's concrete proof there are some seriously and unashamedly hardcore nerds out there, and that I am not one of them.
Because Howard wasn't around in the 1970s, however, he seems to be enjoying a read.

* We both agreed that Servalan was hot though. You have to admire anyone who can run over sand dunes wearing an evening gown and 8 inch silver stiletto heels, after all.
