Gwehyddu ar gwŷdd peg - ac mewn mannau eraill ~ Weaving on a peg loom - and elsewhere
“I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.”
—Diane Ackerman

Llawer o flynyddoedd yn ôl, cafodd Nor'dzin gwŷdd peg nes i adeiladwr ei ddefnyddio'n ddiofal mewn gwaith adeiladu wrth addasu'r llofft. Nawr rydyn ni wedi prynu arall ac Nor'dzin wedi dechrau gwehyddu darnau o frethyn i wneud ryg.
Yn y cyfamser rydw i wedi bod gwehyddu coed cyll yn yr ardd. Mae'r gwiwerod wedi plannu llawer o gnau cyll o gwmpas yr ardd. Weithiau - cyn inni sylwi arnynt - mae'r coed cyll wedi tyfu yn rhy fawr i ni dynnu allan. Felly cafodd Nor'dzin y syniad o blethu'r canghennau tenau gyda'i gilydd i'w cadw dan reolaeth. Bydd yn ddiddorol gweld sut maen nhw'n tyfu.

Many years ago, Nor'dzin had a peg loom until a builder carelessly used it in construction work while converting the loft. Now we have bought another and Nor'dzin has started weaving scraps of cloth to make a rug.
In the meantime I have been weaving hazel trees in the garden. The squirrels have planted many hazelnuts around the garden. Sometimes - before we notice them - the hazel trees have grown too big for us to pull out. So Nor'dzin came up with the idea of weaving the thin branches together to keep them under control. It will be interesting to see how they grow.
