Southbank Skateboarder

I headed into London this afternoon for my second visit this week!  Primarily to see an exhibition on at The Photographers Gallery and another at Tate Modern.  The latter is always photogenic especially on a day like today with strong sun and shadows.  This action shot of one skateboarder emphasised by the sun and the 'watchers' - an extra of some interior shadows at closing time with everyone leaving the building - so unreasonable to close as early as 6pm!

London was as busy as ever with many flash summer dresses on display and lots of groups dressed up for a 'bit of a do' somewhere or another.  I remember a visit between lockdowns with hardly anyone on the streets and absolutely no atmosphere.  Very different today - a city needs people to bring it to life.

John has had a good day in Thoresby and will be home tomorrow afternoon - with Pepper.  Strange coming home to an empty house earlier! No waggy tail - just a cat that wanted to know why his dinner was late and is now asleep on the sofa!!
