Those of us left in camp yesterday made a good start on packing the kitchen away and loading one of the trailers.

We woke to sunshine so after breakfast pushed the Scouts to pack their kit and get their tents down. We were pretty much done by midday which was our finish time and we’re able to present everyone with a certificate and badges.

We got a team photo of all our group leaders with Lucky Tim, the Peake sub camp leader. We’ve decided we were his favourites and have requested to be in his sub camp next time.

Home now and I’ve had a much needed shower - my last was on Wednesday - and about to start churning the laundry. It’s been such a great week. Tiring and hard work but also amazing to be part of a fab team. I have laughed so much.
