Funeral
Today we said Goodbye to Uncle Frank .
He was 94 and had devoted most of his life to volunteering to various charitable organisations.
He was awarded the MBE for services to The Samaritans.
He wanted a quiet simple funeral with no wake but the chapel was full. A testimony to his life.
My brother suggested lunch for us and my cousins before they journeyed back home so we went to Abbey House ( the only option really) Beautiful surroundings but a limited menu and no option for light bites. The restaurant had only been open 15 minutes but already some meals were not available.
It was good to meet up with some family members we havent seen for over 10 years. The last time we all met was a funeral. Is this a sign of getting old?
