Humpback Bridge
Had a walk along the Kelvin Walkway this morning to my favourite coffee shop for a delicious cheese scone and a cup of their excellent coffee. This was to revive me after witnessing the horrible death of a young goldfinch in my back garden. It had sadly flown into one of our windows but was back on it’s feet and coming round when a squirrel grabbed it, took it onto my neighbour’s balcony and ate it!!!
After coffee, we walked back along the walkway and crossed the beautiful B listed cast iron Humpback Bridge into the Botanic Gardens. The bridge was built in 1908 and refurbished and painted blue and white in 2018.
