Bedtime story
In taking apart our bed yesterday, we broke a number of the bed slat holders. We resorted to Amazon Prime for replacements, but the BHF arrived to take the bed quite early this morning. So we had to pilfer some from the bed we are now sleeping in.
Fortunately, the replacement holders have arrived, and fit the slats and the holes, so you will be pleased to hear that we have a bed to sleep in tonight, and will not fall through the hole. We now have innumerable spare slat holders.
Our conveyancing continues to be frustratingly slow - the lawyers for the owners of our attached semi have reviewed the document and (probably in order to justify their extortionate fee) have decided that it has to be reworded. This rewording will now have to be approved by the conveyancer for our buyers!
In Ireland, on the other hand, it all seems to speeding along quite well. We have already had a survey, and got the report today. There are a couple of small concerns - we've forwarded it to our solicitor in Ireland for her opinion, and for her to clarify the questions. We had a few questions which we sent to the auctioneer for him to get answers from the vendors - he answered within 24hrs. The answers raised a couple more questions, so we now await responses to those. The vendors there are in a hurry - they are moving out at the end of August, come what may.
Once BHF had been and gone I escaped to the studio, and have made two more patchwork squares. BHF refused to take the fridge we had offered, as apparently there is a small tear in the door seal, so I just spent the last few minutes advertising the fridge on the local Facebook page - hopefully someone can make use of a functional, if not perfect, fridge - otherwise it will have to go to the tip.
