Sawmarks And Regrowth

Here stood a massive three trunk ash which was felled because it had succumbed to ash borer beetle. I remember the contractor got stung and chased by bees. He had to go home that day.

Now it's a pleasant place to sit and contemplate the world, although, already a weed (I think) has made a new home. Nothing lasts forever it seems.

I liked the cast shadows on the stump and their interaction with the dark tracks made by beetles in the trunk.
