It's been all about cars today.
We bought a new car a few weeks ago which Oli picked up on his way home from the conference. This means we have to sell one of our other cars so we went back and forth to kwik fit to sort out an engine issue and the car valet place. While the car was being cleaned we went out to a local country pub with the boy. Grumpy grumpy sleepy man! After he stole some sweet potato wedges from us he conked out in his car seat. We took advantage of this sleepy situation to pop to Tesco for some bits and pieces and I was just so shocked by how grown up he looked when he was sleeping - his neck and face seem to be lengthening into less of a baby shape and more of a toddler look. Made me all excited for the future to see my little man develop and sad to be seeing my little baby grow up all at the same time.
We popped into my mothers on the way home and she had a load of new toys! A few bits and pieces that he could interact with (the best way to describe it is a spiny thing with beads and a mirror that had a rattle inside), a pull back rolling horse, but more importantly a push along walker which doubled up as an activity centre - fascinating! We were a bit "OH MY GOD" when Noah watched his daddy pick up the green triangle and put it in the green triangular hole, then the pink square and the orange circle (ok ok technically they were a pyramid, cube and sphere..but he is only 7 months old). He only picked up the green triangle and tried to put it in the right hole, and then the same with the pink square. I swear to you, we were all staring at him in amazement. Of course it must have been a fluke but I can't wait until he actually does these things.
Spot of bouncing and cackling on the "bouncy bouncy" (trampoline) with his daddy. First time for Oli to see him laughing at the trampoline, as soon as Noah got close he started getting all flappy limbed and excited and then cackled like an old crone as soon as Oli started bouncing :)
This was taken when we got home, we were all exhausted and Daddy and the boy sat down for some cuddles in front of the TV.
