Fields Of Barley

I've had truly wonderful day visiting a friend I haven't seen for several years. It was a real 'ladies who lunch' occasion with five of us meeting together in her beautiful thatched cottage and enjoying a bring and share lunch outside on the patio. Then a lovely walk past fields of barley, woodland and streams. 

We encountered very few people on our walk but, amazingly, bumped into more good friends mine, so now I have lunch guests tomorrow! 

It's been a day which will definitely feature in my summer memories :))
