Avignon

Up early to get ruben to the vet to have his face checked out. The vet took his temperature and all was normal so no infection showing and he didn't think it'd need stitches so set us off with 6 days of antibiotics. Ruben has been oblivious and has just got on with living. 
Once back from the vet we hung about in our rooms till midday when we had to vacate and as the villa wasn't ready till 4 sat in the Campanile bar, which didn't sell alcohol at that time of day. Thankfully the villa was ready early so we set off and were in by 2.30. It's one we went to last time we were in France in 2017 so it felt a bit like coming home. Once Andre and Alice, the owners had welcomed us and left Jennie and I set about unpacking and Rob and Adam went shopping. 
all sorted by about 5 so we had a beer and sit out in the sun.

So hot. 

Rob made risotto and garlic bread which we ate outside and stayed out till around 11 just chatting. Really nice day. 

Ruben had at one point run at a step, and misjudged it. His legs gave way and he banged his chin, making it bleed. I can't believe the injuries he has had over the last 6 months.
