GentleBoy

Soooo a very long and very happy odd day. We have finally arrived in Avignon. Up at 3am to drive to the Eurotunnel via Adam and Jennie’s as they were coming with us. We have both brought our dogs so were anxious about how the very expensive health checks were going to work and how long we’d have to wait with all the delays they’ve been talking about in the news. Well the whole tunnel experience was an absolute breeze. Sailed through the health checks and the border control and even got on an earlier train. Only fly in the ointment was Ruben was attacked by another dog in the dog area. Our gentle very old boy had his snout ripped by another dog whose owners claimed was friendly. Absolutely fuming and very shaken. Ruben seems ok but will definitely need antibiotics and possibly stitches. We have a morning vet appointment tomorrow. Took the guys name and address - assuming he’s given us his real details - and Rob reported it to the police.
As to the rest of the day - well we’ve been in the car. All day. Traffic was great until just passed Lyon then there were several bouchons. ( means cork I believe hence bottle neck?)
Anyway we finally arrived at the campanile 15 hours after we got up.
