July’s pile

Holidays are for long lie-ins with coffee and books! Especially if you live in England and the weather is less than dependable. My book pile for July was looking much better than previous months.

After a damp start, we said goodbye to the Oxford contingent. The weather picked up and so I went for a quick run before our pub meal that we had booked to coincide with the Lionesses!

Being English means that you never really get your hopes up. Especially when it comes to football. And especially when Germany are involved.

A truly inspiring night. It felt wonderful to be celebrating an England victory, all the more special as it was the lionesses!
