Sunday superstars

It’s a good job I can roll out of bed to the Arena because that’s exactly what I did this morning having gone to bed so tired last night I forgot to set my alarm! I did not want to miss this morning of all mornings and had quite the rush! Had such a good time watching the men’s all-around gymnastics final. At the start I felt like I needed Matt Baker in my ear explaining everything but I soon understood more and got completely invested. My friend and I watched a very brave James Hall ploughing on through the pain of injury to pick up the silver medal and a brilliant Jake Jarman taking the gold. We loved cheering on the other British nations too.
We came away buzzing and had a lovely Sunday Roast at the Highfield while we relived it all. Then we walked off the roast, taking in more of the Commonwealth buzz and finding somewhere to watch the Lionesses. What a team, great achievement and great celebrations! I’m so blessed that my Dad started taking me to the football when I was a little girl in the early nineties. He never believed it was just for boys and gave me the opportunities to enjoy the game as much as my brothers. So it’s lovely to see more of today’s little girls getting into it too.
Looking forward to seeing as much more of the Games as I can take in this week around work. Having the time of my life and making the most of it!
