Looking down
We flew out of Alice Springs today, to Brisbane. The photo was taken very soon after take off. Towards the bottom left, the Stuart Highway heads 1500 km south to Adelaide. The dry bed of the Todd River crosses the lower half of the photo. It rises a hundred km or so to the north, ‘flows’ through Alice, cuts through the MacDonnell Ranges, turns east and eventually disappears in the desert.
Thanks to many blippers who have come with me on the Red Centre road trip. I’ve appreciated your company and kind comments. I’m sorry I’ve had little time while travelling to turn to your journals. I’ll do that soon.
