A good day

A good start to the day because S agreed to wear something other than one of the handful of dresses she has worn for 6 months straight. We have been doing lots of drawing in the mornings through the holidays and S is making us laugh everyday with her funny pictures and explanations of what they are. We baked some really nice cookies and rode the bike into the village with some snacks and new books. We had a lovely hour sat on a picnic blanket by the slide reading some new stories and chatting. This evening hasn’t been as plain sailing, Cannon came in from being out at work all day and went straight to bed feeling really poorly.
