A Special Bunch*

David came with his wife and four kids...
Andrew (the chef) and Mindy are twins, Drake is a math wizard, Noreen is a pastry chef.
Drue (the designer) came with a mini orchid plant...
Corry (the cabinetmaker) brought his wife (who is David's wife's sister) ...
Dana came from Peter's track meet...
Will arrived from his high school baseball game...
Peter and Jim came after Peter's baseball practice...
Everybody gave up a Thursday evening to admire the final results of our remodel (which began as a need for a few shelves) and enjoy Andrew's wonderful food...
Tortillas, carnitas, carne asada, salsa, guacamole, all the trimmings, and Noreen's flan for dessert.
Not only do we feel like we have a beautiful new kitchen, more importantly, we feel we have a whole group of new friends to go with it.

*David and his wife are interested in heritage plants and trees. These roses came from rosebushes they rescued from an old lady's back yard in Vallejo. The yellow flowers came from a "walking stick" kale plant!
