Inside and out

It's not been a wonderful day. I cut my thumb opening a can of soup - the ring pull somehow got me. Then I poured an entire chocolate dessert over my shorts and the sofa. Later I went for my calming ride over the woods, and I was nearly knocked off my bike by a cyclist coming silently alongside me. I was in the wrong  because I turned right without signalling but to be fair I had no idea that I wasn't alone. I've got a slightly scraped leg but I was mostly shaken.

The good bit of today is that I've agreed to take August off from clarinet lessons, and my clarinet teacher has given me ideas for getting my mojo back, mostly by playing music I like. He's also said that if I find clarinet music without the guitar chords, he has a program that can add the chords for me. When or if I go back in September, I could have lessons less often if I want to and we will abandon grade music.

I didn't stop to take pictures over the woods, so Rufus is performing his usual service as emergency blip.
