Early Harvest

This year's harvest seems to be early The farmer has been very busy cutting and bailing his crop. It's the field that had the fire last week so he probably wants to make sure he doesn't take any more risks. Very windy here which means more leaves and branches dropping on to our parched grass. Not a pretty sight!

PS The bare patch in the middle of the pic is meant to be our wild flower bed. I spent a lot on seed but as it is so far down the garden it has not been watered enough. Better luck next year!
