Hosta beach, North Uist.  The gulls appeared to be playing in the surf - they would settle in the same spot and then when the next wave came all fly up as it crashed down.

In the afternoon we watched sheep dog trials on Berneray.  It always looks really easy on TV, but Berneray sheep must be the most truculent on the planet.
