In the Pink
Mallow. Mum has a couple of them in the garden. Their growth habit is a bit chaotic, suggestive to my eye of a bad hair day! However. they are bright and cheerful .... and clearly very drought resistant. Even the hydrangeas have been scorched in the recent hot sunshine but these carry on with gay abandon.
A quiet day at Mum's, especially so since Jamie is feeling unwell, extreme nausea following some prolonged pain a couple of nights ago. It's something that was a frequent problem before he had his gall bladder out, this the second incident since then, may indicate a lingering stone. We were up half of last night but thankfully it's a little better now. It's so long since the last time that we didn't think to bring the relevant nausea medication with us. Getting an emergency prescription here has proved a major challenge. Currently waiting an out of hours call back (waiting five hours so far) after we rejected 111's suggestion of a London A&E trip. It's a medication request not a call for emergency medical treatment. A tangled web.
Supposed to be travelling home tomorrow afternoon. My plants will suffer if we don't but we'll have to see how Jamie is.
