Hottest ...

... day of the year so far here.   The car registered 31C when we came out of Alltwen hospital in Tremadog where Jamie had been having casts made for some new splints.    Very glad of the air cooling in the car as we spent getting on for three hours on the road in all but the heat really hits when you leave that behind.   We did stop in the forest at Coed Y Brenin for an ice cream, a treat!   We'll make a trip there with Jamie's ebike one day when it's cooler .... and less busy.

Otherwise a day to hide from the heat.   I had a siesta when we got back but it was more than a 'little sleep'.   After an hour or so I was awoken by Meg barking, got up and was surprised to find Jamie fully dressed, lying on the sofa .... In my drowsy state I thought it was morning!!    Work late and late night dog walk finished the day.

My reddest Hot Water Plant, Achimenes erecta, tiny flowers compared to most of the others, just a centimetre or so across.
