Glacier (TDM day 1)

One of the glacier we could see from the mountain hut where we will spend the night.

We set of with two friends this morning to take on the Tour de Dent du Midi. Day 1: Chambéry to Susanne hut (4.5 hours, +1066m, -150m). It was very hot so we took our time. At one point the path goes through a narrow gorge but there were a few chains to help. Stunning scenery all the way and we enjoyed drinks at a cabane along the way. We are now spending the night in a mountain hut, which is completely full, and there will be 40 people in the dormitory tonight. The toilet is in a separate building but there are no showers. (See extras) The atmosphere is great and everyone sat outside to enjoy the evening light.
