The road west

From my bedroom window I look west, along the route of the A35 towards Honiton and all points west! The view looks down over the River Axe to the village of Kilminton spread out through the woods. By following the village just to the south of the road you will find the remains of a Roman road that connected Exeter and Dorchester and at Axminster, a part of the Foss way.

Some nights we get a lovely sunset looking this way but not tonight.
