Bee Diner

My shirley poppies live in a couple bathtubs and they are doing quite well. They were saved seeds from last year but most of them seem to be red. A few are solid pink and then this one. It took a bit of waiting until the bee came for a sup and the wind was blowing so she's not quite in focus. I wonder where their hive is..
I did get to carrot thinning and now we have lots of small carrots to enjoy and the rabbits have a lot of carrot tops to enjoy
I also was looking closely at my butterfly weed noticing that some of the flowers are clearly chomped. Sure enough a small monarch caterpillar was on one of the leaves. I took it and the leaf to a nice bunch of milkweed and left it there. I told it to live long and prosper...
