Record-breaking temperatures for the UK today - over 40 degrees! Not here, thankfully, but quite hot enough!

I'm having a new patio fitted at the moment. I really feel for the poor workmen working in this heat - we're simply not used to such temperatures here!

I had a lovely visit with Mum this afternoon. Sitting out on her shady little patio, it felt refreshingly comfortable.Then a walk by the river where I watched kingfishers and damselflies darting about. There's a damselfly image in 'My Third' journal but I loved the rays of light coming from behind the clouds, so they are my main blip.
