A change of sky
It’s very late or insanely early as I blip at 1am … but the main effect of today’s warm weather was to push our departure eastwards until teatime, with obvious implications for bedtime. This “other sky” was taken from Newhaven Harbour, facing the sunset over the Forth. It was already 9pm, and felt like a balmy evening in Crete, the only difference being that at that time on Chania harbour it’d be dark!
Disappointingly we had to give up on any notion of being fed; two out of the three eateries on the harbour weren’t serving (one only drinks, the other only booked tables because of lack of staff ) so I ended up buying some pasta blobs. Luckily I’d brought some truffle sauce … and wine …
