Five minutes? More like five seconds today!

The scorched lawn. The 36 degree heat. Another day spent sheltering in curtained rooms which remain mercifully cool. Our house is well insulated but even that will be tested as the overnight temperature is still forecast to be very high.

I nearly melted taking this Blip. Our 9 year old grandson , with his Nana, actually fried an egg in his garden when he came home from school! He won’t forget that but may well have to learn to live with 40+ degree summers as he grows up?

I am stepping in to do another voluntary night shift tonight.
