It was my turn to go to the local hospital this morning re the insect (assumed a wasp) bite I sustained last Tuesday. It’s still very itchy and red and about 3 inches long. I was told I was doing the right thing by taking an antihistamine and using Eurax cream and that antibiotics are seldom given. She said to contact my surgery ( where I started off this morning) if still a problem in a couple of days and I may be given something topical.
I went for a walk at 8.30 this evening, very pleasant and very quiet along the river. 
Our son is OK, thanks for the good wishes and our daughter in law’s sister returned the signed papers but the solicitor omitted to send her some papers.
I have a mass of poppies self seeded in the garden and this is one in flower today.
