Cygnets

We decided to go for a walk this morning incorporating the coastal path and back along the river. There wasn’t any bird or animal life around, just some butterflies which wouldn’t settle. The farmer was loading up the very large rectangular haystacks on to a trailer. It was good to see the swan still has her four cygnets which are growing up fast. It was good to get home as it was getting warmer.
I hadn’t taken my mobile with me and when we got home there was a message from my daughter in law to say that our son had had an accident while loading his mother in laws’ old tumble drier into his car. He had caught two of his fingers on a sharp edge and was currently having them sewn up. I spoke to him and luckily he had been seen quickly and all was well, he hadn’t damaged his tendons but it will be difficult for him to type although it is his left hand, not his right. They had planned to go and visit my husband’s parents in the afternoon but cancelled in the circumstances. My daughter in law has managed a very quick cash sale on her mother’s house as she is now in a care home. The only stumbling block will be if her sister blocks the sale which is a big possibility.
