Red cherries and a flying saucer
A lazy Sunday, very warm all day, but not nearly as hot as in other parts of the country. While MrM went for a cycle ride I walked up to the Common early this afternoonin the hope of spotting a red squirrel or two. No luck on that score, but there were more butterflies fluttering around than I've ever seen there before. Lots of ripening fruit too - wild raspberries in abundance (I may have sampled a couple), cherries high up in the trees, rowan berries, blackberries....
In the evening we had a trip to Bamburgh.. Very warm and very still, but overcast - perfect for a walk on the beach. We walked quite a way but failed to notice the flying saucer that's quite clearly hovering over the beach in the extra!
