Waiting for the ferry

We decided to try a new walk today. It would take us to the top of a coastal hill, only 205m high, but with fine views of the coast and islands. The walk is on a nearby island (Hemsön) and we take a fery to get there. Here we are waiting....
You can see two ferries. The one on the right, which we went on, pulls itself along a cable across the sound. The other one has a real motor. If it gets really busy they can use both, otherwise there's one ever 30 minutes. The ferries land on the slipway you can see on the right of the picture, on the far side of the water.
The boat travelling south is Ådalen III, which  takes tourists on shorter or longer local trips. It serves food and drink and often has a musician to entertain the tourists if the views aren't enough.
We had a good walk and the views were excellent as promised. You can see the view  and find out a bit more in Jan's blip.
