After last nights down and dirty blues from Matthew E White, I was back up to Glasgow for some smooth soul from ex Simply Red frontman, Mick Hucknall.

Two very different acts but both channeling the voice of America over the wavelength.

MIck can really work a crowd, the concert hall was jumping to the sounds of claasic rythm & blues, his voice has matued well over the years and it works well on the Bobby Bland tunes he sung, the set was mostly dedicated to his American Soul album, but there were some trips back to his Simply Red days.

Two cracking gigs in two days, perhaps another tomorrow night if I'm still standing.
