Us grown-ups left the young 'uns sleeping and went out to grab a bit of breakfast and view the outrageously magnificent Tintorettos at La Scuola Grande Di San Rocco early doors and then went out for coffees and to treat mesen to a new Bialetti before heading back to base late morning. Afternoon involved getting the boat to St Mark's Square, drinking aperitivos and eating cicchettis, hazelnut gelato, Giallo paperbacks at a bookstore with cats, boats back to ours, backgammon and Peroni in our courtyard...and there's still the evening food and drink and explore to come.

Last full day of our Italian holidays today, Venice has been quite an experience...it ain't cheap, but it is a lot of fun.
