Christmas in July

Now that the travel photo book is done, I can get back into the studio.  I made some Christmas things from recycled objects.  A gift box from a tissue box, a large gift bag from a bag my new mattress cover came in, a house form from left over wood, and two ornaments, one from an old tin cookie cutter and one from a tiny embroidery hoop that was my mothers.  Years ago, when everyone made Christmas gifts for the family, you had to start early to get things done.  I remember my grandmother knitting red mittens in the summer for all the children in the extended family.  A hot week ahead, hard to think of a snowy Christmas but it will come...it always does.
